The difference between listening and hearing is that when your hearing somebody you might not me all the way engaged in the conversation-not listening. When your hearing someone your understanding them and could possibly ask questions. One thing I do to let the person talking to me know that I'm listening is agree with what they're talking about and give my opinion about what they are talking about.
